#Last man standing bruce willis movie
I definitely recommend it especially if you're into John Woo movies and even if you've already seen Yojimo and Fistful of Dollars, the plot and setting still made the movie refreshing for me. Loyal to nobody but himself, John Smith (Bruce Willis) hires his services out to Fredo Strozzi (Ned Eisenberg), a bootlegging gangster who operates in a drab Texas town. It's directed by Walter Hill who directed a lot of classics like The Driver, The Warriors and 48 Hrs. beating off The Man from Toronto and The Last Castle to top spot. Music is by Ry Cooder and cinematography by Lloyd Ahern. It stars Bruce Willis, Bruce Dern, William Sanderson, Christopher Walken, David Patrick Kelly, Karina Lombard and Ned Eisenberg. It also features a deadly Christopher Walken as one of the gang's henchmen and Bruce Dern as the town's sheriff who's scared shitless IO Trailer 1 - Anthony Mackie Movie stars in the 1st trailer for sci-fi film IO - on. Last Man Standing is directed by Walter Hill who also adapts the screenplay from a story written by Ryz Kikushima and Akira Kurosawa. However if you haven't, then Bruce Willis plays this badass gunslinger who ends up in this declining town and is in between two gangs that are in a feud with each other and both of the gangs trying to hire him because of how much of a badass he is and use him against the opposing gang. It's a slow burn noir'ish movie with gun action and heroic bloodshed and if you've seen Yojimbo/Fistful of Dollars, then you'll know the plot. Last Man Standing is a 1996 action drama directed by Walter Hill and starring Bruce Willis as John Smith, a gunslinger-for-hire during the Prohibition era. A stranger comes to a town of warring factions (In this instance, Irish and Italian mobsters in prohibition era Texas.), plays both sides against.

Bruce Willis plays Toshiro Mifune's role and is just a badass. Last Man Standing’s plot is almost a straight retelling of Akira Kuwasawa's Yojimbo, though Bruce Willis in the lead role makes the character a bit more morally vacant than Mifune's protagonist. The movie is a remake of Yojimbo but instead it's set In the 1930s America with gangsters and during the prohibition era. I'll embrace the circlejerk and even say that it's an "underrated gem".
